Forever Windsor Chairs

About

Windsor chairs are well know for their comfort, beauty and durability. The design and construction result in their strength and Heirloom quality.

The seat is made from two inch thick white pine which is hand carve to a comfortable and well proportioned shape.  The legs and arm posts are drilled though the seat and are then glued and wedged, giving them continual tightness. The bent bow and spindle's are made of red oak; legs and stretchers are made of maple, which are turned by hand on a lathe.

I offer several finishes; My standard  finish is two coats ofOld Fashion Milk Paint Co. and three coats of a hand rubbed Danish oil. I also offer an antique finish which consist of one to three  contrasting coats of milk paint over a water base stain. then an antique  glaze is applied with a little distressing of typical worn areas.

I also do repairs to antique originals and I will reproduce any antique Windsor chairs you may want a copy or set of.

Here is shown a sack back during the antiquing process. Also a writing arm under construction.
